On Sunday, July 28th, two Reds wanted to close with the home race in Roe’Volciano near Brescia.

Marco D’Agostino and Emanuele Tonoli participated in the already tested and demanding Cross Country Xc GP degli Ulivi race.

Up to the last it was feared that it could be postponed due to negative weather forecasts. But instead the day was perfect. Cloudy and cool but not rainy. The right climate for a race.

11 am departure. On the grid a very high level of cross country specialists ready to face 5 laps from 4.8 km with about 200 m of difference in high per lap. Just over an hour of competition, full of adrenaline!

Great start for Emanuele and Marco with the first group, then as soon as they entered the single track with the beautiful technical descent towards the Madonna del rio, a real race began between Fruet and Righettini, closely followed by D’Agostino and Cucchi. At each pass a brawl, really nice to see four great athletes fighting for the position.

In the end Martino Fruet won the race, followed in second position by Marco D’Agostino and in third position Matteo Cucchi.

Tonoli closes the race in fourteenth position.

Now a break to recover and prepare for the season finale, which still holds some interesting races.
