THIS WEEKEND IS THE ‘DUE GIORNI MARCHIGIANA
Ancona (AN), Italy, May 21, 2015 – Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia will participate in the 34st Due Giorni Marchigiana, a classic on the Italian calendar for Elite and Under 23 riders, on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, in Castelfidardo in the province of Ancona.
“At Castelfidardo we will field a young, attacking team composed entirely of Under 23 riders,” explained sports director Massimio Codol. “We decided to participate in this two-day event specifically to allow our younger riders, who have raced less this season, to show what they can do. It will be a good opportunity for them to test their racing condition before some of the important events this summer, including the Italian national championships at the end of June and the many races, some outside Italy, that await us in July and August. Also, our team headquarters are in Ancona, so at the Due Giorni Marchigiana we’ll basically be riding on home roads, which will give us additional motivation to put on a good show and give 100 percent.”
