BOTTECCHIA FACTORY TEAM AT THE WORLD CUP AT ISOLA D’ELBA

Isola d’Elba and Capoliveri are hosting again after 22 years  an international event: this year the Capoliveri Bike Legend was a stage of the Marathon World Cup.

The Bottecchia Factory Team was there with Gabriele Depaul, Marcello Pavarin and Efrem Bonelli who were based in Costa dei Gabbiani Bike Center at Tenuta delle Ripalte. At the start there were about 1200 partecipants who came from all Europe. Our athletes were well prepared, but a final decline of Efrem distanced him from the top20. He placed 32°,  a good result but not as expected.

Bonelli made a great race, being in 20th position at 10 km from the arrival, but some spasms made him slow down so he lost important positions. Great performance for Gabriele Depaul, who placed 40th, demonstrating that the perfect physical shape is coming.

Pavarin, in spite of a great training period, isn’t able to move to an higher gear and he ended at the 47th place, but it’s only a matter of time. Next appointments with Soave Bike and Divinus Bike, Italian Marathon Championship race!

Rafael Visinelli was engaged with Granfondo 53.3, where he reached a beautiful 3rd place, behind Cargnelutti and Pellizon.
