SECOND VICTORY FOR PARRINELLO IN POLAND WITH AREAZERO D’AMICO BOTTECCHIA
Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia is the protagonist in Poland. Saturday 14th August Antonino Parrinello won the Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich, a race of 160 km, UCI 1.2.
Parrinello, already winner of the Ronde de l’Oise in France, give to the continental team directed by Ivan De Paolis, an other beautiful victory.
“Today we tried to work well since the beginning. There was a head group of 15 riders and I was there with my team mate Paolo Ciavatta who made a great job. I knew I could do something good, so I tried. In the final sprint, 10 km before the arrival, we remained two, so I speeded up and moved away. During the last 8 km I made my best with all the energies that I had. To win is always a beautiful satisfaction, seen that last seasons I had many good placement but no victories. This victory gives me the strenght and the enthusiasm to finish the Italian competitions of September.” says Antonino Parrinello, born in Sicily in 1988 and resident in Veneto, professional since 2012.
“I’m really happy for Parrinello and all the team. We were come to continue the great work done in June and July, and to train for the final of the season. I would say we made it. Parrinello and Ciavatta made a very good race. Yesterday at Memorial Henryka Lasaka we had also a 6th place with Nicola Genovese. All positive signs that are giving us always more motivation. Now the calendar schedules a short stage race in Czech and then the classical Italian competition where we hope to stand out well.” explains the team coach Massimo Codol, always next to his boys.
