Bottecchia joins UC Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol: 2026 squad presented

Treviso, 8 March 2026 – The 2026 season of UC Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol was officially presented in the prestigious setting of the Santa Caterina Museum in Treviso. With over a century of history, it is the oldest cycling club in Italy still active in the competitive scene.

Bottecchia will once again be supporting the Treviso-based team as a technical partner this season, providing the team with its high-performance bicycles developed for competitive cycling.

The 2026 season of the company chaired by Ettore Renato Barzi opens with a team made up of 12 young talents , among the most promising on the international scene. " Today we present a team that has already proven its worth on the road. We built this group over the winter months thanks to the collaboration of our entire staff, selecting some of the best young talents on the international scene. The result is a young, complete and combative squad that is ready to put on a show and give us great satisfaction," explained the President of UC Trevigiani . "I would like to thank all the supporters of UC Trevigiani, starting with Alberto Olivetto of Energiapura and Alfredo Marchiol of Marchiol Spa, without forgetting the commitment of Bottecchia, who supplies us with high-performance, high-quality bicycles ."

EMME 5: Technology and Performance without compromise

For the Treviso-based team's 114th season, Bottecchia has made the top of its road bike range available to its athletes: the EMME 5 in the special Team Trevigiani livery . Designed to face the challenges of the UCI Europe Tour, the EMME 5 represents the perfect synthesis of aerodynamics, lightness, and rigidity .

Every technical detail has been optimized to allow the team's 12 riders to express their full potential in every aspect of the race: from power sprints to the most challenging climbs. The value of the athlete-bike combination has already been confirmed on the road: Riccardo Fabbro 's victory at the finish line in Misano Adriatico is the first milestone in a season that promises to be exciting.

A young team for modern cycling

The team will also be led this year by sporting director Rino De Candido , supported by Mauro Busato, Mirco Lorenzetto and Leonardo Sari , under the supervision of Giuseppe Lorenzetto .

The 2026 squad is made up of twelve young riders with complementary technical characteristics and extremely high potential: sprinters, climbers, and all-round athletes ready to shine in the main races on the national and international calendar.

" The team we've perfected over the winter months is a complete and very united group. The boys are very clear about the goals we've set for ourselves, and we're ready to perform well in all the most important events on the national and international calendar, " observed Sports Director Rino De Candido.

A territory that lives on cycling

Numerous local authorities took part in the presentation, including the Mayor of Treviso Mario Conte , the Sports Councillor Alessandro Manera , the President of CONI Treviso Mario Sanson , the President of the Veneto FCI Regional Committee Mario Guerretta and the Provincial FCI President Giorgio Dal Bo .

A strong signal of how cycling represents a sporting and cultural heritage for the area.

Towards the very popular 109

During the presentation, the 109th edition of the Popolarissima was also unveiled, a historic international race that will take place in Treviso on Sunday 15 March .

The route will remain unchanged from recent editions and will feature a lineup of top-tier teams. The route will also be presented in a video reconnaissance shot by 2008 world champion Alessandro Ballan and several team athletes.

An event that will mark one of the first major stages of the season for the team and for the EMME 5 Bottecchia , ready to test themselves in the heart of Italian cycling tradition.
