Among the giants of the Dolomites with Aerospace

A day that every cycling enthusiast should experience at least once in their life. It is not just a sporting event, but a true celebration of cycling and the mountains, in one of the most spectacular settings in the world: the Dolomites.

This year our Simone Venturelli took us to discover one of the most anticipated events for riders from all over Europe: the Sellaronda Bike Day.

During the event, the Dolomite passes around the Sella Group are closed to motorized traffic and left completely available to cyclists. Without cars, motorcycles or noise: just the sound of the wheels on the asphalt, the breathing that becomes more labored on the climb, and the majestic silence of the mountains. It is an experience that strikes straight to the heart, capable of making anyone who loves cycling at high altitude fall in love even more.

"This year I had the privilege of participating on my Bottecchia Aerospace , a racing bike designed for those seeking the ultimate in performance, comfort and aerodynamics. With its UD carbon monocoque frame and racing geometry, it was the perfect companion for tackling the 53 kilometres of the route, spread across four iconic passes: Pordoi, Sella, Gardena and Campolongo .

Every curve, every peak, every uphill stretch seemed to tell a story. Challenging slopes alternated with gentler stretches, while the gaze was lost among vertical walls, green meadows and breathtaking views. It is difficult to explain the sensation of pedaling in a place like this, where nature and effort blend together to become a single emotion."

"The Aerospace performed flawlessly: light on the relaunches, stable on the descents and responsive when changing pace. The integrated full carbon fork and fully internal cable routing contributed to a smooth and elegant ride. Even after hours in the saddle, the comfortable riding position and the quality of the assembly were noticeable, giving me a feeling of total control."

"The Sellaronda Bike Day is not a race, and for this very reason it is an event accessible to everyone: from the most trained cyclists to those who simply want to enjoy a special day on a bike. And for those who love the mountains and the emotions that only certain climbs can give, there is no better context.

If you are a cyclist, mark it in your diary. Because certain experiences must be lived at least once. But I warn you: after the first one, you will be eager to return. "
