Stefano Valdrighi still on the podium

At Da Piazza a Piazza , one of the most historic and reference competitions for all athletes in the national mtb sector, as well as the "home" race for the Bottecchia Factory Team , Stefano Valdrighi achieved yet another podium of the season.

It's a silver medal for Stefano who, having launched himself into a three-man sprint with Dario Cherchi and Leonardo Paez, was the victim of a fall due to a contact with the latter. Fortunately, our standard bearer got up promptly and, while the victory went to Cherchi and the pursuers pressed with their return, Valdrighi managed to snatch the second step of the podium , confirming a stellar season so far.

In general it was a Sunday of joy and sorrow: the unfortunate eleventh place of Filippo Bertone ; the fall of Davide Masi who was fighting for a position in the top 10 right in the final stages; and that of Claudio Longhitano , gave a bitter note to a weekend that could have turned out to be perfect.

The next week will be a week of recovery and training for the Team, before returning to the races on Sunday 5 May at GF San Pellegrino .
